Call for Workshops!

The DDLM Conference Committee is announcing a call for presenters.  We are looking for workshops in the following suggested areas of emphasis: 

Workshop Proposals will be accepted until 11:59 PM on November 15th, 2023.
Selected Workshops will be notified by 11:59 PM on December 15th, 2023.

EDUCATION: Options after high school, how to select a college, how to select the right major, how to find a job in today’s market, how to choose careers, understanding FAFSA, how to get internships, how to get into graduate school, how to be a lifelong learner.

HEALTH: Dieting and eating healthy, teen sexuality, holistic healing, healthy living, special topics for women over 40, mental health, disease prevention strategies, healthy cooking, understanding nutrition.

LEADERSHIP: Leadership development techniques and styles to effectively handle common obstacles, how to strengthen emotional intelligence, and develop the skills necessary to stand out as a leader. 

ANTI-RACISM & INCLUSION: Strategies to address Racism and Xenophobia in the Latinx Community. Building and Fostering Communities of Justice Across Socially Constructed and Lived Difference.

LEGAL: Understanding your rights, how to navigate the legal system, careers options in the legal system, how to communicate with local and state officials, how to run a campaign.

FINANCE & BUSINESS: How to create, sustain, and flourish in your entrepreneurship, how to finance and budget.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS & SELF EMPOWERMENT: How to build confidence, how to dress for the occasion, how to develop healthy relationships in the workplace, how to prevent or get out of domestic violence situations, beauty tips or strategies, self-help techniques.

All workshop rooms will be equipped with Projector/Screen, Easel, Flip Chart Paper, and Markers. (Lap Top/computers/Adapters/DVD players will not be provided). If you need anything else, please let us know below.

Presenters of selected workshops will receive free registration to DDLM.
